This is an easy test to assess recent exposure to heavy metals from environmental pollution (drinking water, air quality, pest control etc). Toxic heavy metals can be 300 times more concentrated in hair than in blood or urine.
Requires only 0.25g of hair (a small tablespoon), but the hair does need to be untreated (i.e. not dyed).
Detects 17 toxic heavy metals and 20 additional healthy minerals, such as magnesium, selenium, lithium and iodine. Hair tests are less reliable for the healthy minerals than for heavy metals, so when interpreting the test results, it's important to remember that hair samples are liable to external contaminants (e.g. shampoo, pool water exposure etc).
